A Lifetime in Optics

Nicky brings an impressive 37 years of experience in the optical industry, having held a variety of roles throughout her career.“I’ve worked mainly in the independent sector,” she explains, “starting as an Optical Technician, moving into Dispensing, and then into Management, where I’ve spent the last 30 years.”

For the past two years, Nicky has been an invaluable member of The Spectacle Factory team, generously sharing her deep expertise and passion with both colleagues and clients.

Why She Loves Her JobWhen asked what she enjoys most about her role, Nicky doesn’t hesitate:“I love the one-to-one interactions with clients—building close relationships with them. It’s incredibly rewarding, especially when they return year after year. Many of them I’ve known for over three decades!”

It’s this lasting connection and continuity that make a genuine difference—for clients, and for Nicky too.
