At The Spectacle Factory, we’re proud to have a team powered by passion, precision, and exceptional patient care. One of the newest faces bringing fresh energy into the practice is Sara, our warm and knowledgeable Optical Assistant, who joined us just over a month ago.
Despite being new to TSF, Sara brings years of experience and a genuine love for optics, making her an invaluable addition to the team.

Growing Up in Optics
Sara has been in optics since she was just 17, giving her a strong foundation in eyewear, lenses, and patient care.
“I’ve been in optics since I was 17, so I’ve grown up in the field,” she explains. “I love the mix of technical work and personal interaction — helping people find solutions that genuinely improve their vision.”
At The Spectacle Factory, she plays a vital role in supporting our advanced services — from pre-testing and dispensing, to assisting in our on-site lab and helping ensure every patient enjoys a seamless, personalised experience.
Why Optics?
Sara’s journey into the industry began with a passion for hands-on work and a desire to help others.
“Once I realised how life-changing good vision can be for someone, I knew this was the field for me. It blends precision, problem-solving, and genuine patient care. That combination is what keeps me passionate.”
Making a Difference, One Pair at a Time
When asked what her favourite part of her role is, Sara loves that there’s something special about the moment a patient puts on their new glasses and everything finally comes into focus. Whether it’s a first-time wearer or someone who has struggled with their vision for years, Sara never tires of seeing that reaction.
She also thrives on the technical side of the role — selecting the right lenses for different lifestyles, adjusting frames for perfect comfort, and solving more complex visual challenges. This balance of skill, precision, and genuine empathy is what makes her such a strong asset to TSF.
Life Outside Optics
When she’s not helping patients see the world more clearly, Sara enjoys getting outdoors, relaxing with friends and family, and diving into new series, creative projects, or places to explore. It’s her way of recharging and staying balanced in a busy, people-focused role.
Her Favourite Eyewear Style
Sara gravitates towards lightweight, high-quality acetate frames paired with thin, premium lenses.
“They’re comfortable all day long, durable, and they offer a clean, polished look,” she says. She also loves the colours and patterns acetate offers, making it easy to find something subtle or something unique.
Her Go-To Styling Tip
“Balance is everything. If you have softer or rounder features, try a more angular frame. If your features are sharper, a round or oval shape can soften your look. And don’t be afraid of colour — the frame you least expect often ends up being the one that suits you best once it’s on.”
