At The Spectacle Factory, our team is at the heart of everything we do — combining expertise, care and a passion for individuality to deliver a truly personal experience. Today, we’re introducing Chloe, one of the newest members of the team, who brings a strong customer-focused background and a fresh perspective to the world of eyewear.

Tell us a little about yourself and your background in optics?

Hi, my name is Chloe, and I’ve been part of The Spectacle Factory administration team for the past two months. Although I’m new to the optical industry, I bring a strong background in customer service and administration, which has really helped me transition into the role. I’ve always enjoyed working closely with people, and this role allows me to combine that with learning something completely new and exciting every day.

Why did you get into this industry?

I’ve always been passionate about helping people, and being a glasses wearer myself, I understand just how important it is to find the right pair of eyewear. It’s not just about vision — it’s about confidence and feeling like yourself. I love working with customers, getting to know their needs, and seeing how happy they are when they find glasses they truly love.

What’s your favourite part of your job?

My favourite part is seeing the reaction from customers once they’ve found their perfect pair of glasses. Whether it’s the improvement in their vision or how much they love the way they look, that moment of happiness is really rewarding and makes the job so worthwhile.

What do you like doing in your spare time?

In my spare time, I love spending quality time with my grandparents and my boyfriend — family is really important to me. I also enjoy treating myself to a bit of self-care, especially relaxing spa days, which help me unwind and recharge.

What is your favourite frame type and why?

I’ve recently fallen in love with rimless glasses, particularly the Reykjavik Eyes Leif (the ones I am wearing in my picture!). I love how lightweight and refined they feel, and the way they enhance your natural features without overpowering your face. What I really like is how versatile they are — they genuinely suit so many different people and styles.

Do you have a styling tip?

My biggest styling tip would be not to choose your glasses based on what everyone else is wearing. Eyewear is a reflection of your personality, so embrace your individuality and choose something that feels like you. When you feel confident in your glasses, it really shows.
