Our Custom Twist on MODO'S Milanese Capsule Collection
A bold move on a capsule collection!
MODO takes an artistic approach to eyewear design. Founded in 1990 in the heart of New York, MODO creates minimal yet extremely beautiful designs.
This exclusive Capsule collection was created by Valerio Sommella, a renowned industrial designer from Milan. Sommella's inspiration for this collection comes directly from his birthplace, and it is clear in every pair. Each frame within this collection is not just a piece of eyewear but a tribute to a place within Milan.
The frames in this collection are crafted with precision and attention to detail. They feature a full-rim design made from Titanium TR 90 Polyamide, incorporating the use of 0.6 mm-thick Beta Titanium 153 and a TR 90 Polyamide rim. This combination of materials not only ensures strength and durability but also allows for a refined, minimalist aesthetic that represents MODO as a brand.
This exclusive collaboration showcases Sommella’s use of innovative design and bold colour by reducing the size of the Polyamide rim to reveal the frame’s architecture. This adds an element of playfulness to each pair.

Frame No.1
For Frame No.1, we paired the grey titanium frame with black rims and yellow temple tips to add a hint of bold contrast and effortless style. Completing the look is a pair of 25% grey gradient tinted lenses, perfect for indoor use. It's a frame that balances sophistication with contemporary design.
Frame No.2
Frame No.2 takes a bolder approach. The black titanium frame is sleek and sophisticated, while the yellow rims and black temple tips add a bold, playful element to the frames. This frame is ideal for outdoor use as it is paired with a 25% grey graduated tint with adaptive sun technology.
