WHEN TO USE THEALOZ DUO GEL:
THEALOZ DUO GEL is a fluid gel for use on the surface of the eye during
day time and night time.
You can use THEALOZ DUO GEL when you have moderate to severe
signs and symptoms of dry eye such as discomfort, stinging or irritation of
the eye. These symptoms can be caused by outside factors such as wind,
smoke, pollution, dust, sunny or cold conditions, dry heat, air conditioning,
plane journeys or long hours working in front of a computer screen.
THEALOZ DUO GEL has no preservatives and prevents irritation and
allergic reactions that can occur when eye products containing
preservatives are used. Using preservative-free products is advised when
you have sensitive eyes or are using them for a long time.
PROPERTIES:
THEALOZ DUO GEL is a sterile, preservative-free fluid gel that is
hypotonic and pH neutral, which means it is the same pH as the surface
of the eye and helps hold water on the eye surface.
Its main ingredients are trehalose, a substance present in many plants and
animals, sodium hyaluronate, another substance naturally present in the
eye, and carbomer (Carbopol 974P), that allows THEALOZ DUO GEL to
stay on the eye longer.
Read the instruction manual
Trehalose protects, hydrates and is an antioxidant. For these reasons, it
is essential in the anhydrobiotic process used in certain tiny organism (a
slow metabolism that helps them live in dry conditions).
Trehalose also protects cells by stabilising their membranes.
Sodium hyaluronate is a natural polysaccharide (complex substance)
found in the human eye which holds water to hydrate and lubricate the
surface of the eye. It keeps the solution on the eye surface, giving longlasting relief and cutting down the healing time of the corneal epithelium
(the clear surface on the eye).
Carbomer allows THEALOZ DUO GEL to stay on the eye surface longer,
providing long-lasting relief of dry eye signs and symptoms.
The special combination of trehalose, sodium hyaluronate and carbomer
in THEALOZ DUO GEL hydrates, lubricates but also protects the eye
surface for a long time and with maximum comfort.
